Just like the last two years of this monumental event, we'll be doing a custom iPhone app. But New this year is native support for an iPad version as well. Today, I'm not going to confirm design, features or spoil any other surprises but this year we have some great things planned. So stay tuned to the end of the month for more details.

The long over due rumor of Verizon carrying the iPhone is finally over. Tuesday Verizon announced that they will carry the iPhone in February 2011. Good news for people waiting for it. Good news for people who are ready for the world to stop rumoring it. :)

Ross Boettcher of the Omaha World Herald did a great write up of the news from Tuesday. He even grabbed a quick quote from yours truly

The BigOmaha iPhone app was submitted to the App Store late Thursday. Given our past turn around times with Apple we suspect it to be available Wednesday(ish). Everyone out there reading this right now, pray to the Apple gods, do a happy Apple dance or something... we all want it on the store by Thursday at the latest. Quite honestly we haven't seen a review process take more than 3-5 business days, so we think it'll be all good.
